Smash the Patriarchy!

Fundraiser for # MeTU Campaign to end misogyny in the trade union movement.

An unmissable, power packed night to smash the patriarchy! Women led bands bring their energy to Peckham Audio for a much-needed fundraiser at a key moment for one of the most important campaigns in Britain – #MeTU.

• THE MENSTRUAL CRAMPS DIY queer punk provocateurs – and one of the most exciting bands in the UK

• JOLI BLON CAJUN BAND Stomping dance tunes from the swamps of Louisiana

• BREAK THE CODE Joyous, politically conscious drum and bass from this women’s collective.

#MeTU are a group of women and non-binary trade unionists committed to ending sexism, sexual harassment and violence, and bullying in the labour movement. Over the past two years, sisters bravely speaking out accompanied by audacious direct action have led to the exposure of a misogynistic, toxic culture at the top of our trade unions, where women are harassed, assaulted and bullied – and then forced out of the movement when they dare to complain, often being pressurised into signing non-disclosure agreements

This benefit comes at a crucial point in the campaign, with staff at three trade unions – GMB, TSSA and UCU preparing for strike action
