The famously devoted fan base of post punk act NEW MODEL ARMY are extremely excited by a cryptic tweet publish by the band on April 5th. Displaying a photo of a bleak frozen landscape the band have said “We have been here and have come back with an album… More news soon!!!”. They have given no information as to where the photo was taken or whether the album has been recorded yet or just written. Frontman Justin Sullivan was hinting at their Christmas shows last year that new material was on its way but this is the first statement officially coming from the band.

Their last album ‘Winter’ (2016) was well received and they are well known for properly touring new material. So ‘the family’ could well be dusting down those clogs in the new future and hitting the road with them. There are also high hopes for next year when the band will turn 40. Their 30th anniversary shows in 2010 saw the band treat their followers to two night shows that pulled a range of shows from their extensive back catalogue. Since then they have released no less than 2 LPs and a mini album with another one now in the pipeline. Watch this space…
