For many of us the arrival of COVID19 has meant the cancellation of gigs, tours and festivals along with an opportunity to briefly experience what life might be like for those living in the global South all the fucking time. The restrictive measures on public gatherings are necessary to ensure that the spread of the virus is slowed down and those vulnerable to it can get the treatment they need. Otherwise senior citizens and those with pre existing conditions could die needlessly as access to specialist equipment gets more and more scarce.
We urge all our readers and listeners to follow the advice from the NHS and health experts while ignoring the endless stream of incoherent garbage being spouted by clueless wankers like Boris Johnson. Not least because many of our favourite artists are getting on a bit and the live music scene would be a much poorer place without the knowledge, experience & wisdom purveyed by the likes of Charlie Harper and The Cure.
